Job Summary
This position contributes to our mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope by interfacing with sponsors, volunteers, and family partners to help coordinate a satisfying volunteer experience on the build sites.
Agency Expectations

- Works in collaboration with supervisor and staff to implement organizational strategic goals
- Demonstrates self-motivation, flexibility, and efficient time management
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with site set up and break down
- Acting as a site host, greeting, and signing in volunteers
- Assuring volunteers are informed and supported on the project site
- Assisting with safety review and volunteer tracking
- Assisting with organizing and managing onsite resources for projects/build days/special events
- Taking and uploading photos
- Supporting formal/informal volunteer appreciation program.
Minimum Experience Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and ability to drive own vehicle to AHFH sites
- Basic computer, internet skills.
- Team focused and strong customer service orientation
- Ability and willingness to work with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work outside in the elements
- Good organization skills/ attention to detail
- Ability to speak publicly
Preferred Experience Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience with VolunteerHub a plus
- One year working with volunteers and facilitating projects
- Certification in Volunteer Management
Education
- High School Diploma/GED
Physical Demands
- Lifts/moves 35 lbs frequently
- Exposed to weather frequently
- Standing for extended periods of time
Schedule
- Saturday Mornings 6:45am - 9am
